How do I light my Tacoma Firelogs?2017-10-16T15:56:25+00:00

Lighting a Tacoma Firelogs fire is easy. Simply follow the instructions below and in minutes you will have a radiant fire illuminating the room.

Step 1

Place two Firelogs on a grate inside stove or fireplace, approximately two inches apart and parallel to each other.

Step 2

Place one fire starter (round side down) between the two logs, equal distance from both ends.

Step 3

Adjust spacing on fire logs so there is a slight gap between the fire starter and each log.

Step 4

Place two more logs on top of the two base logs, perpendicular to the bottom logs, with the same two inch gap between them, creating a chimney effect for the starter.*

*Do not overload stove or fireplace. Do not place firelogs too close to glass doors. Follow stove or insert manufacturers loading instructions.

Step 5

Light the starter and wait until the logs are burning with a strong flame before you close the fireplace doors or damper vents down (5-10 minutes).

Step 6

Enjoy hours of clean burning warmth and light.

Where is it safe to burn Tacoma Firelogs?2017-07-26T17:19:30+00:00

Is it safe to cook over Tacoma Firelogs?2017-07-26T17:19:42+00:00

Yes. Tacoma Firelogs have no added wax binders, so they are as safe as cooking over cordwood.

How long will my Tacoma Firelogs burn?2017-07-26T17:19:52+00:00

In an open fireplace or fire pit you can expect an average burn time of about an hour and a half, however actual time may vary between 45 minutes and 2 hours. Factors such as fire size, firelog spacing, wind conditions, airflow and moisture will all effect the duration and quality of your fire. In a woodstove, dampered properly, the firelogs can burn for 4 to 6 hours.

Can I use Tacoma Firelogs outside in the rain?2017-07-26T17:20:02+00:00

Compressed firelogs need to be kept dry, and should not be used in the rain, as it will cause the logs to swell and fall apart.

How should I Store Tacoma Firelogs?2017-07-26T17:20:13+00:00

We recommend Firelogs be stored indoors, away from moisture. Exposure to wetness may cause packaging to warp, and the Firelogs to absorb some moisture. This may effect the quality of your fire.

Why does cleaner burning matter? What is the benefit to no wax binders?2017-07-26T17:20:21+00:00

The wax binders used in many fire logs significantly increase the carbon emissions of the log. Tacoma Firelogs are bound by pressure, not wax, so the carbon emissions of the burned log are the same as that of a decomposing tree in the forest. For this reason, our logs are considered carbon neutral. For more information on environmental benefits… click here
